Thing is smooth and has 3 shading temperatures. radiant yellow, somewhat blue white and nonpartisan (halogen like) white. It has pleasant notwithstanding darkening that ranges from night light to adequately brilliant for work. Tragically that just applies to the blue/white and the brilliant/halogen white. The glowing yellow never gets sufficiently splendid which is a disgrace. My most loved temp is the halogen however I might want to switch between the halogen and the radiant yet the brilliant isn't sufficiently splendid for me. Distinction to me is about like having a 50 watt halogen and a 25 watt brilliant. Regardless I think it is a decent purchase and certainly justified regardless of the $20.
