Registered meaning with the Canadian authorities (Industry Canada) and paying corporate tax to the Canadian govn't.In fact there have been articles before the provincial tribunals on Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy legislation where Canadian citizen information cannot be held outside of the Canada and its information that entrusted to that govn't agency. (ie. health care record information, tax information, birth and death information, etc.) The list goes on.As an off-topic,there is a movement afoot for some large Canadian govn't organizations to create their own cloud here in Canada, not to off-shore storage of the information on a foreign located server. | | |
